Lighthouse Condominiums
This finished illustration was created from preliminary drawings as the architect was still designing the details. The tempera media gives a depth of color and contrast to the water. A simple triad color scheme of blue. yellow, and red flourishes add punch for a two tone structure.

Clarkson Road Shopping Center
An example of a blackline drawing with multiple media color added for the purpose of having two images for marketing. The perspective was 'visually adjusted' to give the most impact of view: a distinct advantage to hand drawn illustrations. Notice how your eye is drawn from awning to awning then to the water feature - a traditional artistic device to create movement within a composition.

The same blackline and color technique is applied here to an interior mall space at Lambert International Airport. The image has a 'looser' approach as the design was not finalized and was vague in what products would be sold within the space. Specific locations within future airports were also not known. Airbrush highlights add sparkle to a basic gray and green color scheme.

The engineer and investor-owner came to me with a commercial business name and technical drawings to install equipment into a concrete block building. By their request, ideas were generated for the exterior architecture and accepted to create the illustration. The final rendering was then submitted to the local zoning board which had previously rejected the proposed development. After the board viewed the new image, the project was approved without objection.
