Look Up, St. Louis!

A local charitable organization was needing a memorable backdrop for its annual fundraiser in which contributors would have their pictures taken.  The donation levels were built around some of the many St. Louis area landmarks.  These images were photographed and manipulated into a flowing composition even though each structure is mostly separated by miles.  A preliminary small hand sketch was created and immediately approved.  A final sketch to fit the backdrop format was generated next and then transferred to a quality illustration board.   A bright blue sky with implied motion was air brushed onto the surface after masking off the building elements.  Each image was painted in detail with consideration of the final reproduction, a 40"x 60" printed board.
